Job Requirements
- At least 6 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- or a 4-year college degree and at least 2 years related experience
- or a 2-year college degree and 4 or more years related experience
- Previous Front Office management experience required
- Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word
- Able to work long hours
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with all employee and guest levels
- Effective listening, understanding, and clarifying concerns skills
- Able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
- Approach all encounters with attention, friendliness, courtesy and service-oriented manners
- Attend all required hotel meetings and trainings
- Participate in M.O.D. coverage as required
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with hotel standards
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- Comply with hotel standards and regulations
- Maximize productivity and identify problem areas
- Effective problem handling skills

Job Duties
- Ensure attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous service to guests, managers, and employees
- Respond to all guest requests, complaints, and issues efficiently and courteously, ensuring follow-up for satisfaction
- Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline assigned personnel following hotel standards
- Conduct front-of-house interviews and support recruiting efforts, ensuring compliance with hiring procedures
- Develop employee morale and oversee training for Rooms Division
- Maintain professional relationships and promote open communication across departments
- Implement all Highgate hotel policies and house rules
- Monitor service standards and training checklists compliance
- Maximize room revenue through monitoring oversold dates
- Conduct daily tours of operating departments soliciting employee feedback
- Ensure training compliance and attend daily/monthly meetings
- Support Hyatt programs such as GEM and Gold Passport
- Control expenses to maximize profit using checkbook accounting
- Enforce SOPs compliance
- Conduct regular walk-throughs to maintain cleanliness and maintenance standards
- Coordinate major projects including renovations and capital expenditures
- Hold weekly meetings and monthly financial reviews
- Perform performance reviews and ensure standards in employee evaluations
- Monitor labor expenses and approve schedules to ensure budget productivity
- Prepare development plans for department heads
- Participate in M.O.D. programs
- Operate Front Office computer systems including software maintenance and reporting
- Monitor Synergy MMS operation and follow-up
- Assist in revenue and occupancy forecasting
- Communicate professionally with hotel staff
- Implement Highgate service philosophy
- Ensure staff knowledge and implementation of corporate marketing programs
- Monitor VIP and special guest services
