Job Description

The Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel, located in Omaha's historic Blackstone District, is a boutique hotel that marries timeless elegance with modern style and hospitality. This hotel, once known as the historic Blackstone Hotel, has been revitalized to become a local gem known for its stylish charm and state-of-the-art amenities. The hotel's dedication to exceptional service continually sets it apart within the hospitality industry. As a member of Davidson Hospitality Group, The Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel benefits from the strong legacy and entrepreneurial spirit of a trusted hotel management company recognized nationwide for its world-class service and innovative hospitality approaches. Davidson Hospitality Group operates a range of distinguished hotel and dining venues across the United States, partnering with premier brands such as Hilton, Hyatt, Kimpton, Marriott, and Margaritaville.

Joining The Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel team means becoming part of a passionate and creative workforce that values collaboration and innovation in delivering unforgettable guest experiences. Every team member, whether welcoming guests at the front desk, crafting cocktails in the bar, or supporting operational functions behind the scenes, plays an integral role in fostering a welcoming atmosphere. The workplace culture emphasizes support, respect, and personal growth, promoting a positive, uplifting environment where employees are encouraged to develop their talents and contribute meaningfully.

The role of Director of Food & Beverage at The Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel is a hands-on leadership position designed for a bold and passionate individual who thrives in a dynamic boutique hospitality environment. Reporting directly within the powerhouse hospitality group, this position requires an inspirational leader who readily engages with the team across front-of-house and back-of-house operations. The ideal candidate is someone who is not only strategic but unafraid to get involved in day-to-day activities—whether helping behind the bar during a busy service or supporting the kitchen in preparing exceptional culinary offerings.

The Director of Food & Beverage will oversee multiple food and beverage outlets within the hotel, leading menu development, optimizing operational efficiencies, and ensuring consistently high standards of guest satisfaction. This role blends creativity with fiscal responsibility, requiring expertise in budgeting, profit and loss management, and labor cost control to ensure financial goals are met. The successful candidate will also lead concept creation to ensure the food and drink offerings align with cutting-edge industry trends and evolving guest preferences. With a hands-on, inclusive approach to leadership, this position is perfect for a motivating individual capable of inspiring, coaching, and elevating a high-performing team, while constantly pushing the boundaries of the guest experience.

Overall, this role offers an exceptional opportunity for a passionate food and beverage professional to bring vision and energy to a respected hotel with a rich heritage, redefining hospitality in a vibrant urban setting. The Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel provides a unique environment where culinary expertise, leadership acumen, and guest-centric innovation converge to create memorable and elevated dining experiences. Interested candidates will find themselves supported by a reputable hospitality management group, Davidson Hospitality Group, which offers extensive benefits and a commitment to employee well-being and career development.
