We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Food and Beverage Director to lead and oversee the entire food and beverage operations within the hotel. This key leadership role demands a strategic and visionary professional with significant expertise in refined dining, banquet management, and catering events. The Food and Beverage Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the guest dining experience while driving revenue growth and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing high-volume, fast-paced environments successfully while maintaining the highest standards of service and quality. The Food and Beverage Director will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team of food and beverage managers, chefs, servers, and support staff. By fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and high morale, the Director will ensure consistent service quality across all food and beverage outlets. This leadership role requires overseeing recruitment, training, and performance evaluations, all aimed at operational efficiency and exceptional guest satisfaction.

A core part of the role involves managing all aspects of refined dining operations, which includes collaborating closely with the Executive Chef and General Manager to develop and execute seasonal, innovative menus and beverage programs. The Director will also handle inventory management, supplier relationships, and cost controls to maintain quality and profitability. Ensuring seamless banquet and catering operations for meetings, conferences, weddings, and other events is essential to this position. The Director will collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop attractive catering packages and pricing strategies that maximize revenue and meet guest needs.

Financial stewardship is another critical responsibility, involving budget development, cost control, waste reduction, and regular analysis of food and beverage performance through detailed reports. Monitoring financial outcomes and driving revenue growth form a significant part of this role. Additionally, the Food and Beverage Director is tasked with creating memorable dining experiences while implementing rigorous quality control measures focused on food safety, cleanliness, and service standards.

Effective collaboration with hotel management and other key departments such as sales, marketing, and housekeeping is vital for smooth, efficient operations and alignment with the overall brand vision. Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster a positive and productive work environment are essential for success in this role.

Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
  • minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in food and beverage management
  • demonstrated experience with refined dining banquet and catering event operations
  • strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams
  • excellent financial management capabilities including budgeting and cost control
  • thorough understanding of food safety standards and quality control
  • exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
  • food safety certification such as servsafe preferred

Job Duties

  • oversee food and beverage inventory ordering and supplier relationships to ensure quality and cost efficiency
  • maintain and enhance guest satisfaction by monitoring service standards and addressing guest feedback promptly
  • oversee banquet and catering operations for meetings conferences weddings and other events ensuring seamless execution from planning to completion
  • coordinate with sales and marketing teams to develop catering packages and pricing strategies that meet guest needs and maximize revenue
  • ensure timely and efficient service for large events maintaining high-quality standards despite large guest numbers
  • develop and manage food and beverage budgets ensuring profitability through effective cost control pricing strategies and waste reduction
  • prepare weekly and monthly reports on food and beverage performance analyzing trends costs and opportunities for improvement
  • monitor and manage financial performance of the food and beverage department ensuring budget adherence and driving revenue growth
  • create memorable dining experiences that exceed guest expectations while maintaining a refined atmosphere
  • implement and oversee quality control measures to ensure food safety cleanliness and service standards
  • address and resolve guest concerns or complaints in a professional and timely manner ensuring positive outcomes
  • work closely with hotel management to align food and beverage offerings with the overall brand vision and marketing strategies
