Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Proven leadership experience in food and beverage management
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Must be willing to comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly
  • Ability to adapt to change and learn new skills
  • Must comply with all safety and security policies

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of full service hotel experience
  • Some independent or Marriott experience preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
  • Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware
  • Familiarity with federal, state and local health and safety regulations
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication abilities both verbal and written
  • Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations accurately
  • Ability to use computer systems for operations and reporting

Job Duties

  • Interview, hire, train, recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, provide open communication and recommend discipline and/or termination when appropriate
  • Plan and direct the functions of administration and planning of the Food and Beverage Department to meet the daily needs of the operation
  • Clearly describe, assign and delegate responsibility and authority for the operation of the various food and beverage sub-departments, e.g. room service, restaurants, banquets, kitchens, steward, etc
  • Develop, implement and monitor schedules for the operation of all food and beverage sub-departments to achieve a profitable result
  • Participate with Food and Beverage managers in the creation of menus designed to attract a predetermined customer market
  • Implement effective control of food, beverage and labor costs among all sub-departments to Crescent standards
  • Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
