The Director of Food & Beverage at Hilton Richmond Downtown plays a crucial leadership role in overseeing the entire Food and Beverage department, which includes multiple dining outlets such as restaurants, lounges, bars, as well as banquet and catering operations. This position reports directly to the General Manager and supervises a dynamic team comprising restaurant managers, bar managers, banquet managers, F&B supervisors, and service staff. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in food and beverage management within a hotel or similar hospitality setting. They will be responsible for ensuring that all outlets meet high standards of quality, service, and compliance while driving operational efficiency and financial performance.
Key responsibilities for this role include managing departmental budgeting, forecasting, labor control, and cost of goods sold to maximize profitability. The Director of Food & Beverage will collaborate closely with culinary and beverage teams to develop innovative menus, beverage programs, and promotional events aimed at enhancing guest satisfaction and revenue growth. Additionally, this leader will maintain rigorous standards for food safety, sanitation, and alcohol compliance, ensuring the hotel adheres to all relevant regulations and brand guidelines.
An emphasis is placed on team development through training, mentoring, and performance management to cultivate a motivated and skilled workforce. The Director will regularly inspect all food and beverage outlets to maintain cleanliness, quality, and operational excellence. They will also monitor guest satisfaction metrics and implement improvements to continuously elevate the guest experience. Beyond operational duties, this role requires strong collaboration with other hotel departments such as Sales, Banquets, and Front Office to support group and event functions successfully.
Proficiency in financial analysis, including reviewing profit and loss reports and key performance indicators, is essential for strategic decision-making. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, POS systems, and food and beverage management software further supports operational effectiveness. Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, or related field preferred
- Formal culinary, beverage, or hospitality certifications a plus
- Minimum 5 years of progressive food and beverage leadership experience
- Prior experience managing multiple outlets, banquets, and bars required

Job Duties
- Oversee all food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, lounges, bars, and banquets
- Direct and support F&B management team to achieve financial and operational goals
