TradeWinds features two destination resorts positioned just minutes apart, catering to a wide variety of guests seeking an extraordinary beach vacation experience. As a luxury resort, TradeWinds combines beautiful beachfront locations, modern accommodations, and extensive amenities to create an unforgettable stay. The resort’s dedication to maintaining superior service standards and creating a memorable guest experience has positioned it as a leading vacation destination in the gulf coast region.
The Director of Food & Beverage at TradeWinds Resort is a senior executive role and an integral part of the resort’s executive committee. This role holds primary responsibility for overseeing, managing, and directing all food and beverage operations across the property’s various outlets. This position demands strong leadership skills to inspire and supervise the food and beverage teams, ensuring operational excellence and consistent guest satisfaction.
This role requires the director to work closely with other executive members to align departmental operations with overall resort goals. Strategic marketing initiatives are encouraged to promote both existing and new food and beverage offerings, with an emphasis on boosting revenue and reducing employee turnover. The director will develop and manage budgets, forecasting performance based on market trends and operational data, while implementing necessary measures to meet or exceed financial objectives. Legal compliance, including adherence to liquor laws and health regulations, is a critical component of the role.
Beyond financial oversight, the Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for fostering a guest-focused culture where all employees deliver attentive, courteous service. The position includes interviewing, hiring, and training staff to uphold the resort’s standards, and requires active participation in departmental and hotel-wide meetings and training sessions. Issuing timely reports, monitoring the quality of service and food products, and coordinating loss prevention efforts are also vital to the role.
This leadership opportunity is ideal for individuals with extensive experience in multi-outlet hotel food and beverage operations, ideally in luxury or independent hotel environments. Candidates should possess a deep understanding of food preparation techniques, health and safety standards, and payroll management. Flexibility to work extended and variable hours is necessary to support the dynamic, guest-centered nature of resort operations. The role demands excellent communication skills, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced setting. Overall, the Director of Food & Beverage at TradeWinds Resort plays a pivotal role in elevating the guest experience, driving financial success, and cultivating a positive and professional work environment within the food and beverage departments.
