Job Description
Reef Capital is a distinguished, Utah-based vertically integrated investment and development firm founded in 2005. Over nearly two decades, Reef has established itself as a leader in real estate and development transactions across Utah and targeted regions throughout the United States. The company is known for its proven expertise combined with innovative strategies that drive successful investment outcomes. Reef's diverse portfolio spans over 500 transactions across multiple business lines, demonstrating extensive experience and industry presence. Beyond investment, Reef and its affiliates own and operate various long-term value-adding businesses, contributing significantly to their projects' success and sustainability. The company's rapid growth—from approximately 25 employees to over 400—and its management of assets on behalf of over 750 institutional and individual partners worldwide reflect its expanding influence and commitment to excellence. Notable projects within Reef's portfolio include the $2 billion Black Desert Resort in Ivins, Utah; the Marcella luxury private golf community in Park City, Utah; the Tributer Resort in Virginia; the Cornerstone Club in Telluride, Colorado; Sweetens Cove in Tennessee; and the historic Coco Palms Resort restoration in Kauai, Hawaii. Reef's ethos centers around recruiting, developing, and retaining entrepreneurial talent focused on building long-lasting and meaningful achievements. The company fosters a high-performance, collaborative culture dedicated to employee well-being and professional growth.
The Director of Events and Experiences at Reef Capital is a key leadership position responsible for shaping and executing the strategic vision of all events, activations, and promotional experiences across the company's portfolio. This role involves leading a dedicated Events and Experiences team, orchestrating immersive, brand-aligned programming that enhances guest engagement, nurtures partner relationships, and drives tangible business outcomes. The Director will manage a broad spectrum of events, from intimate investor dinners and networking receptions to large-scale, revenue-generating activations. They will be instrumental in aligning event strategies with brand identity, sales goals, and operational objectives to ensure each experience contributes meaningfully to Reef's overall mission and growth. Key responsibilities include the end-to-end planning and delivery of investor and partner events, maintaining event formats that promote trust and deepen relationships, coordinating closely with executive leadership and investor relations, and overseeing the comprehensive event calendar across all properties. Furthermore, the Director will manage logistics, budgeting, vendor partnerships, and on-site operations to uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Partnering with Marketing, Sales, and Development teams, the role also focuses on maximizing brand visibility through activations and promotional events, identifying sponsorship and partnership opportunities, and supporting revenue initiatives. This leadership position calls for fostering a collaborative team environment, resource allocation based on business impact, and continual performance assessment to optimize future events. This role offers an annual salary range of $100,000 to $125,000 plus bonus and is based in St. George, Utah. It is ideal for a seasoned event management professional with a robust background in luxury hospitality or upscale event services seeking to drive innovative event strategies within a fast-growing, prestigious investment and development firm.
