Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Four years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales, or marketing
  • Or two-year degree from accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • Two years experience in event management or related field
  • Ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of event operations and safety compliance

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with four years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales, or marketing
  • Or two-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field with two years relevant experience
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Strong customer service and communication abilities
  • Experience in budgeting and revenue management
  • Knowledge of event planning operations and food safety standards
  • Capability to work with high-profile clients and manage complex events

Job Duties

  • Manage event planning operations including daily functions and staff
  • Lead execution of event management strategy and support departments
  • Review scheduled events to anticipate and prevent service challenges
  • Ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and inventory of event spaces and equipment
  • Develop and oversee catering menu and compliance with food safety standards
  • Consult with customers to define event objectives and requirements
  • Manage budgets and maximize revenue opportunities
  • Communicate and enforce safety procedures and emergency protocols
  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback and handle complaints
  • Empower staff to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Develop relationships with vendors and negotiate service agreements
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure legal compliance and proper staffing levels
