- 4 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area
- or 2-year degree from accredited university in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major

Job Duties
- Assigns all events turned over to event planning team
- oversees function space and group room blocks for turned opportunities
- communicates and executes safety and emergency procedures
- leads event management strategy activities
- reviews scheduled events to troubleshoot challenges
- leads discussions to avoid service challenges
- manages customer budgets to maximize revenue and meet needs
- maintains inventories to maximize satisfaction and revenue
- works with complex or high-profile groups
- leads catering menu development
- champions team policies and standards
- leads event management meetings
- reviews guest satisfaction data to identify improvements
- shares plans for corrective actions with leadership
- exemplifies excellent customer service and positive guest relations
- interacts with guests for feedback
- handles guest complaints and problems
- empowers employees to provide excellent service
- develops vendor relationships and service agreements
- consults with customers on event objectives and requirements
- establishes customer service guidelines
- ensures ongoing employee training
- observes service behaviors and provides feedback
- reviews staffing levels to meet service and planning needs
