This full-time, management-level position is based in Redmond, Washington, at the Marriott property located at 7401 164th Ave NE. The role comes with a competitive annual salary range of $84,000 to $115,000 and includes eligibility for bonuses. The Facilities Manager role is integral to maintaining the property’s physical plant, ensuring the building, grounds, and safety systems are well-managed and compliant with all regulatory requirements. This position holds overall responsibility for the upkeep of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical systems, and more, with a sharp focus on safety, security, and asset protection. The manager will lead a team responsible for preventative maintenance, capital expenditure projects, and energy conservation initiatives to optimize operational efficiency while managing budgets and financial performance.
Acting as a strategic leader, the Facilities Manager collaborates closely with property and regional engineering teams to assess performance against budget opportunities and challenges, proactively addressing concerns with property owners and leadership. Developing and executing long-term engineering operating strategies aligned with the property's business goals is a critical element of this role. Additionally, the manager oversees construction projects to ensure timely and budget-conscious completion. Maintaining engineering standards involves rigorous compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, keeping fire and life safety systems functional and up to date, and managing all necessary licenses, permits, and certifications.
On the human resources front, the Facilities Manager ensures fair treatment of employees, adherence to disciplinary and operational procedures, and fosters open communication to resolve workplace issues effectively. The role promotes a positive workplace culture by recognizing team achievements and facilitating ongoing communication around daily operations and business objectives. As the leader of the emergency response team, the manager plays a pivotal role in addressing urgent facility issues swiftly and efficiently.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Six years experience in engineering and maintenance or related field
- Technical training in HVAC-R, electrical, or plumbing
- OR two-year degree in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major
- Four years experience in engineering and maintenance or related field
- Technical training in HVAC-R, electrical, or plumbing
- Ability to manage budgets and oversee projects
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance
- Capable of leading emergency response efforts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with six years of relevant experience and technical training in HVAC-R, electrical, or plumbing
- OR two-year degree in Building and Construction, Engineering or related major with four years of relevant experience and technical training
- Strong knowledge of property maintenance and engineering operations
- Experience managing budgets and capital projects
- Proven leadership and team coaching abilities
- Proficient in safety and regulatory compliance
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
