The Director of Culinary role at Chrane Foodservice Solutions is an exciting leadership opportunity designed for a culinary expert who is passionate about foodservice operations and equipment solutions. This role involves partnering closely with sales teams and foodservice operators to provide hands-on demonstrations, training, and operational assessments. The Director of Culinary will leverage their deep culinary knowledge and industry experience to showcase innovative kitchen equipment that enhances kitchen workflows, boosts operational efficiency, and improves food quality and safety.

This position is highly interactive, requiring strong customer engagement skills as the Director will lead equipment demonstrations and proof of concept testing directly with chefs and foodservice professionals. They will be responsible for planning culinary events, maintaining demonstration kitchens in showroom condition, and collaborating with marketing to create compelling culinary content that highlights the applications and benefits of various equipment solutions. The role also includes participation in manufacturer training programs and representing Chrane at industry trade shows and events, which offers substantial opportunities for professional development and networking.

Travel is a component of the job, averaging between 10 to 15 percent, to support customer visits, attend industry events, and participate in training. Job Requirements

  • Culinary degree preferred or at least 7 years of professional culinary experience
  • Experience in high volume foodservice environments such as hotels, banquets, or large scale operations
  • Strong presentation and customer engagement skills
  • Knowledge of kitchen design, workflow, and operational assessments
  • Ability to translate culinary needs to equipment solutions
  • ServSafe Manager certification preferred
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10 to 15 percent for customer visits and industry events

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree preferred or at least 7 years of professional culinary experience
  • Experience in high volume environments such as hotels, banquets, or large foodservice operations
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to engage customers during demonstrations
  • Working knowledge of kitchen design, workflow, and operational assessments
  • Ability to translate culinary and operational needs into practical equipment solutions
  • Established relationships within the Houston culinary community preferred
  • ServSafe Manager certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Lead culinary equipment demonstrations and proof of concept testing for foodservice operators
  • Conduct pre-sale and post-sale equipment demonstrations and onsite staff training
  • Partner with Sales teams to evaluate operations and identify equipment solutions that improve kitchen performance
  • Maintain demonstration kitchen and equipment in a professional, show ready condition
  • Plan and execute culinary events for customers, manufacturers, and internal teams
  • Collaborate with Marketing to showcase equipment applications through culinary content and demonstrations
  • Participate in manufacturer training to develop deep product knowledge
  • Represent Chrane and our manufacturer partners at industry events and trade shows
