The role of Sales Manager at Performance Foodservice is pivotal in driving the company's mission to support America’s food distribution system. This position involves managing a team of Specialists and Business Development Managers (BDMs) tasked with generating and assisting in product sales, consistently ensuring that customers receive value-added services along with outstanding customer service and attention to customer profitability. The Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing sales processes, solving service-related issues, and utilizing their expertise of product information, industry trends, and related technology to make informed decisions that benefit both the customers and the company.

This role demands a proactive leader who can supervise, train, and coach team members, help resolve performance issues, and foster an environment of continuous improvement. The Sales Manager works diligently to meet and exceed financial sales goals, increase product and service market share, and implement efficient sales procedures that prioritize customer needs and profitability. By maintaining a safe and inclusive working culture based on rewards, recognition, and respect, the Sales Manager contributes to the overall health and growth of the organization.

Performance Foodservice offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package that includes Day 1 Health and Wellness Benefits, an Employee Stock Purchase Plan, 401K employer matching, education assistance, paid time off, and numerous other perks that support employee growth and work-life balance.
