Job Description
LA28 is the organizing committee charged with delivering the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, hosting the largest and most complex sporting event ever held in the United States. With a mission to create an extraordinary, inclusive, and sustainable Games, LA28 collaborates extensively with international partners, local businesses, governmental agencies, and community stakeholders to deliver world-class experiences on a global stage. The organization exemplifies leadership in event management, hospitality, urban development, and legacy planning, setting a new standard for how mega-sporting events engage with their audiences and host communities.
The role of Hospitality Director for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games is a senior leadership position that shapes and oversees the hospitality program for the entirety of the Games, starting July 1, 2026, through September 30, 2028. Based primarily in Los Angeles, with secondary responsibilities in Atlanta, the Hospitality Director is instrumental in developing a local hospitality strategy aligned with both LA28's internal standards and international Olympic and Paralympic Committee regulations. This challenging position offers a unique opportunity to lead the hospitality efforts of a once-in-a-generation event, ensuring an unparalleled experience for athletes, officials, sponsors, and guests.
The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting and executing a comprehensive hospitality plan that covers all facets of guest experience across Olympic and Paralympic venues. This includes accommodation, transportation, food and beverage, entertainment, security, gifting, ticketing, and staffing. The position demands a dynamic, solutions-oriented leader who can navigate complex cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders, ranging from hotel partners and service vendors to internal departments such as finance, procurement, legal, and the global EPICS hospitality team.
Not only does this role require strategic vision but also hands-on management capabilities to ensure flawless execution. The Hospitality Director must negotiate contracts, manage budgets, oversee program milestones, and ensure compliance to deliver a seamless hospitality operation that reflects LA28's commitment to excellence and inclusivity. This position also emphasizes the use of technology platforms for registration, ticketing, and communications, requiring expertise in CRM and event-specific software tools.
Working at LA28 means being part of a vibrant culture that prioritizes inclusiveness, continuous learning, curiosity, empowerment, agility, and collaboration. The annual salary range for this role is $150,000 to $172,000 USD, complemented by a performance-based annual incentive of 30%. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, with up to 25% travel expected, and full-time presence in Los Angeles required during the Games.
Taking on the role of Hospitality Director at LA28 presents an unparalleled career opportunity to lead hospitality programming at one of the world's most prestigious sporting events. It is a chance to contribute to an event that not only brings together the best athletes globally but also celebrates culture, innovation, and community engagement at an extraordinary scale.
