Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Four years of professional or para-professional experience in student life or office operations
  • Knowledge of planning, organization, and leadership best practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with database platforms
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work individually and as a team member.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Master's degree preferred in student affairs, leadership, business, or related field
  • Four years professional or para-professional experience in student life or office operations setting
  • Knowledge of planning, organization, and leadership best practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with database platforms, preferably Jenzabar
  • Prior experience in academic environment or student affairs highly desirable
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Job Duties

  • Assist Vice President to provide operational leadership for Student Life programs, services, and administrative functions
  • Serve as Manager for day-to-day operations of onsite Beacon Beanery including hiring, training, and supervision of student barista staff
  • Collaborate with Ala Carte vendor for inventory acquisition
  • Oversee budget including allocation, forecasting, and expenditures
  • Ensure health, safety, and sanitation guidelines are adhered to
  • Liaison with facilities, vendors, and residence life to maintain beanery operations
  • Assist in development and preparation of reports, meeting materials, budgets, and other administrative documents
  • Assist with planning and serve as administrative liaison for signature departmental events such as Orientation Family Dinner and Junior Discernment Retreat
  • Arrange and schedule meetings and appointments, make reservations and travel arrangements
  • Collaborate across campus to prepare and distribute weekly Beacon communications
  • Utilize Jenzabar system for student communication flow, tracking meal charges, and other student information
  • Monitor progress and develop schedules for assigned projects
  • Coordinate and advertise student welcome baskets during Orientation
  • Manage Student Life leadership hiring process including interviews and paperwork
  • Maintain logs, files, and records with control over sensitive information
  • Order and maintain inventory of equipment and supplies
  • Assist with marketing materials development and webpage maintenance
  • Provide support and supervision for Resident Director, front desk, and mailroom
  • Attend various departmental and cross-departmental meetings
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
