Job Requirements
- Educational background in hospitality or related field preferred
- Minimum of six years progressive hotel or food and beverage management experience
- Proven leadership in multi-outlet and banquet operational settings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, spreadsheets, and word processing software
- Comprehensive knowledge of food preparation, health, sanitation, and liquor regulations
- Ability to work long hours including evenings and weekends
- Physical capability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle guest and employee concerns effectively
- Multitasking and time-management abilities
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- Compliance with company standards and legal regulations
- Effective problem anticipation and resolution skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Willingness to participate in training and hotel meetings
- Regular attendance as required by scheduling

Job Qualifications
- At least six years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field or a four-year college degree and three years related experience or a two-year college degree and four or more years related experience
- Five years of food and beverage leadership experience in a multi-outlet and banquet operational environment
- Proficient in Windows, company-approved spreadsheets and word processing
- Knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations, liquor laws
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
- Effective listening and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively communicate in a friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner
- Ability to understand and evaluate complex information
- Maintain confidentiality of information
Job Duties
- Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and fellow employees
- Supervise all food and beverage personnel
- Respond to guest complaints promptly
- Prepare the food and beverage budget and monitor department performance
- Monitor industry trends and take action to maintain competitiveness and profitability
- Communicate food and beverage issues to Executive Committee members
- Keep supervisor informed of problems requiring attention
- Coordinate and monitor all phases of loss prevention in the food and beverage department
- Prepare and submit required reports timely
- Organize and conduct regular department meetings
- Monitor quality of service and product
- Cooperate in menu planning and preparation
- Ensure timely purchase of food and beverage items within budget
- Oversee employee cafeteria operations
- Ensure compliance with liquor laws and health regulations
- Ensure departmental compliance with standard operating procedures
- Train department heads on SOPs, report preparation, and technical job tasks
- Conduct or attend departmental and hotel training sessions
- Interview candidates for front-of-house food and beverage positions
- Conduct and attend required meetings including pre- and post-convention meetings
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction
