Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in directly or indirectly leading team(s)
  • Advanced level business acumen
  • Seasoned knowledge in advanced analytics and spreadsheet design
  • Experience with SQL
  • Data visualization experience
  • Experience in labor relations and contract negotiation
  • Experience in crew resource planning or similar airline network planning
  • Ability to work extended hours
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to comply with company attendance and confidentiality standards
  • U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to perform work duties at a desk for extended periods
  • Must maintain well-groomed appearance
  • Availability to travel overnight during contract negotiations

Job Qualifications

  • Advanced business acumen in functional area
  • Specialized knowledge in advanced analytics including spreadsheet design
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Experience with data visualization
  • Knowledge of labor relations and contract negotiation
  • Experience with crew resource planning or airline network planning
  • Familiarity with airline optimization programs
  • Skilled in communication and conflict resolution
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Business Intelligence tools, and databases

Job Duties

  • Collaborates with Network Planning and Commercial Teams on operationally viable flight schedules
  • Leads and develops the Manager Crew Resource Planning and Intermediate Crew Planning team for efficient allocation of resources
  • Acts as a supporting member to Labor Relations and negotiates changes to the Pilot contract
  • Serves as liaison between the Company and Union for Crew Planning matters
  • Identifies deficiencies in current practices and develops corrective plans
  • Oversees schedule construction 3-9 months in advance and sets optimization strategies
  • Oversees staffing plans including hiring, promotions, and vacation allocations
  • Oversees development of training resource plans for simulators, instructors, and classrooms
  • Partners with Ops Performance and Finance on company-wide programs and projects
  • Leads Crew Research and Design Initiatives to improve staffing processes
  • Represents Crew Planning Team throughout the organization
  • Performs other duties as directed by leadership
