Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in aviation, business management, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant airline experience
  • 3+ years in management roles preferably in crew scheduling
  • Knowledge of FAA Part 117 and Part 121 regulations
  • Proficiency with scheduling systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to negotiate change requests
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Basic Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Willingness to work onsite Monday to Friday and some holidays/weekends
  • US work authorization

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in aviation, business management, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of airline scheduling, crew resources, or crew planning experience
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of FAA Part 117 and Part 121 regulations
  • Strong familiarity with scheduling operating systems
  • Effective communication and listening skills
  • Critical thinking and decision-making abilities
  • Strong risk management and problem-solving skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Teams
  • Authorized to work in the US

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate safety ownership in all job responsibilities
  • Ensure reporting and correction of all safety and regulatory non-compliance
  • Lead and contribute to Avelo Airlines safety management system
  • Develop and implement departmental success and compliance goals
  • Create and maintain effective scheduling standards
  • Design processes and training for Crew Scheduling to meet regulatory and performance goals
  • Lead flight activity planning to ensure on-time, efficient and safe operations
  • Identify and recommend continuous improvement opportunities
  • Foster transparent and authentic communication with crewmembers
  • Lead crew scheduling team to perform effectively by modeling company values
