Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in aviation, business management, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of airline scheduling, crew resources, crew planning, or related experience
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Part 117 and Part 121 regulations
  • Strong familiarity with scheduling operating systems
  • Ability to negotiate change requests
  • Effective communication and listening skills
  • Critical thinking to identify, evaluate, and select optimal actions
  • Strong risk management and problem-solving skills
  • Microsoft Office skills basics
  • Must be willing and able to work onsite Monday to Friday along with some holidays and weekends
  • Must be authorized to work in the US

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in aviation, business management, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of airline scheduling, crew resources, crew planning, or related experience required
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Part 117 and Part 121 regulations
  • Strong familiarity with scheduling operating systems
  • Ability to negotiate change requests successfully
  • Effective communication and listening skills
  • Critical thinking for safe and efficient operations
  • Strong risk management and problem-solving skills
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Management of Crew Scheduling experience preferred
  • Crew Resources and Crew Planning experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Ensure all identified safety or regulatory non-compliance and ineffective processes are reported for assessment and correction
  • Lead and participate in Avelo Airlines safety management system and promotions
  • Develop and implement Crew Scheduling departmental success, compliance measurements, and goals
  • Create and maintain effective standards for Crew Scheduling to achieve performance goals
  • Lead Crew Planning and Scheduling execution of all flight activity to achieve on-time efficient operations
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement with Executive Leadership
  • Enable effective performance through transparent and authentic communication with all Crewmembers
