Job Description
The Formula 1 Heineken Las Vegas Grand Prix has quickly risen to prominence as a premier, world-class event in just its first three years. Situated on the iconic Las Vegas Strip, this exhilarating three-day race attracts a global audience, where the world's top drivers and fastest cars compete at speeds reaching nearly 200 mph. This event combines high-octane motorsport action with the vibrant energy and glitz that Las Vegas is renowned for, creating an unforgettable experience for attendees both in person and via worldwide broadcasts. Hosted by Las Vegas Grand Prix, Inc., the event not only celebrates speed and competition but also focuses on luxury hospitality, brand activation, and immersive fan engagement.
Las Vegas Grand Prix, Inc. is dedicated to delivering a world-class experience on and off the track, with a team committed to operational excellence and innovation in event production. Within this dynamic environment, the Director of Events and Hospitality plays a vital role. This permanent, full-time position based in Las Vegas is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of all ancillary events and hospitality activities related to the Grand Prix. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Hospitality, this leader collaborates across departments including commercial operations, event management, and client services to ensure that the hospitality offerings and client experiences are seamless, memorable, and executed to the highest standard.
The Director of Events and Hospitality must be a detail-oriented professional with a strong ability to foster positive relationships with vendors, clients, and internal teams. Key responsibilities include managing secondary hospitality areas such as VIP suites and coordinating the decor, furniture, and installation logistics to create customized, thematic environments. This role ensures that bespoke client needs are met—from ideation and budgeting to the final delivery of suite customizations. Working closely with multiple teams, the Director oversees floor plan updates, client approvals, and event build-outs, guaranteeing every hospitality space meets brand standards and client expectations.
In addition to hospitality oversight, the Director is heavily involved in the planning and execution of all supplementary events surrounding the Las Vegas Grand Prix. These include marketing brand activations, sponsorship events, premium sales initiatives, and VIP hospitality functions. This requires maintaining a year-round ancillary events calendar and cultivating strong vendor relationships to support efficient and effective event delivery. The Director also acts as an onsite manager during race week to coordinate communication between front- and back-of-house staff, manage inventory, and provide operational support that ensures smooth event execution.
This role demands exceptional project management skills, superior organizational abilities, and a capacity to anticipate team and event needs proactively. The ideal candidate should be adept at managing large budgets, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and exhibit strong interpersonal communication skills. They must be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively across different departments and external partners, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times. The position also requires availability for travel and the legal right to work in the United States.
Las Vegas Grand Prix, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion, providing a workplace free from discrimination and harassment. All employment decisions are based purely on business needs, individual job qualifications, and merit.
