Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of audio-visual experience
  • At least 2 years of operations or supervisory experience
  • Preferred 3+ years of customer service or hospitality experience
  • Sales experience is a plus
  • Working knowledge of audio-visual equipment in a live show environment
  • Proficiency with computer hardware
  • Proficiency with computer software and programs including the Internet and Microsoft Office
  • Effective leadership abilities
  • Customer satisfaction focused
  • Valid driver’s license for team members who may operate company vehicles

Job Duties

  • Drive results by managing an efficient and profitable operation with a focused approach on revenue maximization and profitability using cost control measures
  • Achieve Encore's financial goals for the location(s) by effectively managing labor, equipment sub-rentals and other costs
  • Understand and utilize operational and financial reports and complete standard and ad hoc reports accurately and on time
  • Utilize the company billing system to coordinate invoicing activities and ensure billing is reviewed and approved by clients
  • Complete sales forecasts accurately and timely
  • Participate in business review presentations as needed
  • Review and manage location P & L and develop action plans to address deficiencies or grow the business
  • Confirm venue partners process all payments to Encore promptly
  • Perform daily floor operations including scheduling and equipment setups, operation, and strikes
  • Ensure all equipment and services are delivered on time, in good working condition, and as specified by clients and the venue, following brand standards
  • Anticipate equipment challenges and changes professionally and timely
  • Use inventory control procedures to maintain proper inventory levels while ensuring safety, security, and quality assurance of equipment
  • Share labor and equipment efficiently within the local market
  • Attend operational venue meetings such as daily stand-ups with venue staff
  • Work with Regional Sales Director to create effective sales strategies, including upsell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations that highlight Encore’s value
  • Prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner
  • Attend site visits and pre-conference planning meetings to support the customer event experience
  • Collaborate with vendors and other company departments to capture and service events
  • Understand event cost structures for designing profitable solutions
  • Attend customer meetings to understand and address their goals and challenges
  • Maintain accurate customer information in the CRM system
  • Stay knowledgeable about new products, services, and event technologies
  • Provide reports on performance, sales pipeline, and forecasting to senior management
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers, venue personnel, and internal teams to deliver world-class service
  • Oversee personnel assisting with event execution
  • Exceed expectations of internal and external customers
  • Meet with guests onsite to verify needs are met and equipment is functioning correctly
  • Monitor small to medium-sized events and regularly check on customers
  • Enforce employee and venue standards to maintain a polished and professional team image
  • Oversee technical aspects of operations and apply troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Utilize company computer systems effectively
  • Act as on-site technical expert as necessary
  • Assist on the floor operationally when needed
  • Promote a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Manage team performance, address employee concerns, maintain adequate staffing, and facilitate development
  • Manage human resources activities, including selection, performance management, and learning
  • Provide coaching to develop team members’ skills
  • Train employees on company standards and systems
  • Recommend training opportunities for team members as needed
