Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Five or more years culinary experience in the hospitality industry
- Food handlers permit as required by state law and company standards
- Valid driver's license
- Compliance with company motor vehicle policies
- Ability to resolve problems of dissatisfied customers and employees
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel

Job Duties
- Manage and supervise all culinary services staff including scheduling, assignment, direction, performance review, hiring, and corrective action
- Meet regularly with residents and family members to ensure high satisfaction
- Collaborate with restaurant manager or coordinator to create a restaurant-style dining atmosphere
- Ensure cooperation between front of house and back of house staff to exceed food quality expectations
- Assist kitchen and restaurant staff by working all stations as needed
- Maintain customer satisfaction and quality enhancement levels with executive director and frontline staff
- Delegate tasks to staff to maintain cleanliness and quality in kitchen and restaurant areas
- Ensure all food preparation, storage, and service comply with company standards and health codes
- Maintain employee satisfaction scores at or above designated levels
- Conduct interview and hire culinary services staff
- Plan and execute monthly department meetings and in-services
- Manage monthly and annual budgets for food, supplies, and labor with documentation
- Develop recipes and menus based on resident preferences and budgets
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment
- Manage inventory of kitchen supplies, small wares, and tableware
- Maintain purchasing standards and vendor relationships
- Plan and execute Engage Life events, special events, banquets, and themed meals
- Collaborate with Community Sales Director to market community via "Taste of Atria - Road Shows" and signature items
- Ensure staff understand company expectations and first impression standards
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested
