The Director of Culinary Services serves as the segment subject matter expert (SME) for culinary food solutions, ensuring offerings exceed consumer and client expectations. By leveraging leading foodservice research platforms such as Technomic and Datassential, the Director tracks emerging industry trends and translates them into actionable insights delivered quarterly to clients. Additionally, this role leads product cuttings and culinary innovation sessions, presenting creative recipes and product recommendations that align with clients' business objectives.

Collaboration is central to the role, as the Director participates in internal and operator culinary initiatives to drive menu innovation, conduct product evaluations, and develop impactful culinary programs. Managing the Culinary Consulting team, the Director ensures high-quality service delivery, measurable client outcomes, and continuous engagement to meet evolving market demands. The position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including engaging presentation abilities and proficiency in translating complex culinary concepts into teachable insights.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 5 years management experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience in operations, marketing, or a related field
  • Strong culinary knowledge and skills
  • Proven culinary leadership experience within foodservice, hospitality, contract dining, or multi-unit operations
  • Distributor sales or food brokerage background preferable
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent client-facing presentation skills
  • Ability to analyze operational and financial considerations when developing culinary solutions

  • Develop and implement culinary solutions that support client satisfaction, consumer engagement, and profitable growth
  • Lead and participate in operator and corporate culinary initiatives, including menu innovation, product evaluations, and culinary program development
  • Leverage leading foodservice research platforms including Technomic and Datassential to track emerging industry trends and provide quarterly analysis and actionable insights to clients
  • Lead product cuttings and culinary innovation sessions, presenting recipes and product recommendations that support client menu development and business objectives
  • Ensure the Culinary Consulting team consistently delivers high-quality consulting services, actionable insights, and measurable client outcomes
