The position available is for a Dining Supervisor who plays a critical role in upholding and promoting an exceptional dining experience within the health center for residents and their guests. The Dining Supervisor supports both management and supervisory personnel to guarantee quality service at all times, while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as Wesley Enhanced Living policies and procedures. This role involves closely monitoring dietary aides during meal services, conducting rigorous sanitation checks each night to ensure a safe and hygienic environment, and assisting in the hiring and training processes within the dining department to ensure all staff adhere to the highest standards of dining service.

Moreover, the Dining Supervisor is responsible for overseeing food storage compliance and verifying that dietary aides consistently follow proper dining service procedures, maintaining adherence to county, state, and federal guidelines such as proper labeling, covering, and dating of food items. The position requires effective communication with management regarding any maintenance issues or equipment problems and a collaborative approach to addressing performance, scheduling, and retention challenges among dietary aides. The Dining Supervisor ensures the smooth operation of dining services in a healthcare setting, contributing significantly to the overall wellbeing and satisfaction of the residents. Job Requirements

  • One year supervisory experience either in a restaurant or health care setting preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • RAMP certification

Job Duties

  • Assist the assistant manager of healthcare services with monitoring the dietary aides during meal service to ensure all procedures are properly followed
  • Support the dining department management team with the hiring process for dietary aides
  • Assist the assistant manager healthcare services with dietary aides performance issues, scheduling, training and retention
  • Conduct nightly sanitation checks of each dining room in the health center
  • Effectively supervise the dietary aides to ensure aides are meeting food storage compliance
  • Ensure dietary aides are following correct dining services procedures and maintaining local county, state and federal guidelines (label, cover, date etc)
  • Communicate any work orders or equipment problems to assistant manager of healthcare services
  • Perform other duties as required
