Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in assisted living dining services or related field
- Ability to manage budgets and staff
- Knowledge of food preparation and serving techniques
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to conduct regular on-site assessments
- Flexibility to be on call or delegate nursing tasks as required by regulatory standards
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in dining services management or executive chef role
- Knowledge of assisted living or senior care dining requirements
- Strong leadership and personnel management skills
- Expertise in budgeting and cost control
- Understanding of kitchen sanitation and safety standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and maintain inventory and purchasing systems
Job Duties
- Establish and maintain standards of quality, conduct, customer service, and productivity in the Dining Services Department
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels and manage food and supplies inventories
- Work within established budget guidelines to control costs and maximize efficiency
- Oversee purchasing, receiving, and storage systems to ensure proper inventory management
- Ensure kitchen sanitation and compliance with health regulations
- Promote personnel development through training and leadership
- Conduct on-site visits at least every 45 days for completion of individualized assessments
