The Certified Dietary Manager will lead the dining department staff, facilitating teamwork, promoting food safety and sanitation, and driving operational efficiency. This role provides a unique opportunity to work in a meaningful environment that supports the health and well-being of vulnerable populations while advancing your managerial and technical skills.

As a Certified Dietary Manager, you will be entrusted with maintaining proper inventory, controlling costs, documenting food supplies and personnel information using HCSG’s computer software, and adhering to strict food safety and hygiene protocols such as infection control and universal precautions. Communication with client managers, administrators, and team members will be essential to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service delivery.

Additional core responsibilities include conducting staff training sessions, quality control monitoring, and stepping in as a dietary aide, cook, or dishwasher when necessary. This role requires a positive, proactive attitude and the physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, standing and walking for long periods, and safely handling cleaning solutions. Candidates must meet certification requirements, including obtaining Food Protection Manager credentials within the first two weeks and additional certifications within the first 60 days of employment.
