Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Current food handler's permit
- One year food service experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to follow written instructions and safety practices
- Dependable and detail oriented
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and reach for long periods
- Adherence to dress code and uniform standards
- Ability to show patience and compassion to senior adults
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Current food handler's permit
- Training in Servsafe is beneficial
- One year of food service experience preferred including serving, waiting tables, cleaning, and kitchen sanitation protocols
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to follow safety practices and written instructions
- Cordial and congenial manner with residents
- Dependable, detail oriented, and organized
- Ability to work within standard policies and limited supervision
- Patience and compassion for senior adults
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, preparation, and serving principles
- Ability to interact positively with employees, residents, families, visitors, vendors, healthcare professionals, and community members
Job Duties
- Assist in food preparation including serving food and waiting tables
- Buss and reset tables as needed
- Prepare salad bar items and stage desserts
- Assist in setting up meetings and special events with delivery of snacks, coffee, and tea
- Follow sanitation guidelines, federal and state regulations, and senior living healthcare requirements
- Maintain cleanliness of prep items and perform scheduled cleaning duties
- Open and close dining rooms as needed
