Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Current Food Handler's Permit
- One year of food service experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbal and written
- Ability to read and understand written instructions
- Ability to follow safety practices

- Ability to handle multiple tasks

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Current Food Handler's Permit
- Training in Servsafe is beneficial
- One year of food service experience preferred including serving/waiting tables, cleaning, kitchen sanitation protocols, basic food/meal prep
- Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written English
- Ability to read and understand written instructions and follow safety practices
- Dependable, detail oriented, organized with good follow through
- Ability to work within standard policies and procedures with limited supervision
- Patience and compassion towards senior adults
- Ability to maintain a well-groomed appearance compliant with organizational and State food code standards
- Demonstrated knowledge of food safety, sanitation, preparation and serving principles
- Ability to work well with diverse groups including employees, residents, families, visitors, vendors, healthcare professionals, and the community
Job Duties
- Assist in food preparation, hospitality duties, and meal service including serving food, waiting tables, and bussing tables
- Serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals to residents, guests, and staff in the Dining Room or Bistro
- Bus and reset tables as needed
- Prepare salad bar items for lunch including filling salad bar with ice and setting for service, gathering plates and bowls
- Prepare and stage desserts
- Light food prep for special events
- Assist in setting up meetings or other special events including delivery of snacks, coffee, tea
- Follow all sanitation guidelines, federal/state regulations, and Senior Living/Healthcare requirements
- Maintain cleanliness of prep items
- Follow cleaning schedules and perform cleaning duties as scheduled or needed
- Open and close dining rooms as needed
