Cascade Park Vista is a well-established assisted living community located in Tacoma, WA, dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to its residents. We are currently seeking reliable, customer service-oriented individuals to join our team as Dining Servers on a part-time basis. These roles are critical in ensuring that our residents and their guests receive timely, efficient, and pleasant food service experiences within our assisted living community. The Dining Server is responsible for delivering meals promptly, accurately taking and delivering orders, and maintaining a clean and safe dining environment. This position requires individuals who are attentive to residents’ needs, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment, and committed to upholding the standards of excellent customer service. Ideal candidates will possess a caring attitude, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
In this role, Dining Servers interact directly with residents and guests in the dining room, ensuring their satisfaction and responding promptly to any requests or concerns. They assist with food preparation under the guidance of kitchen staff when needed and adhere strictly to sanitation, safety, and departmental procedures. Responsibilities include handling dishes, glassware, utensils properly, setting and clearing tables, restocking inventories, and disposing of refuse safely to maintain cleanliness in the dining area. Cascade Park Vista supports professional development by providing training such as Dementia/Mental Health and requiring a valid Food Handler card. This part-time opportunity combines meaningful work with flexible hours, making it suitable for individuals who are enthusiastic about supporting senior communities and delivering superior food service within a residential care setting.

Job Duties
- Ensure residents receive meals promptly
- inclusive of taking and delivering orders
- Responds to resident and guest requests
- Interacts with guests in the dining room to ensure their satisfaction
- Ensures accuracy of orders and food quality
- Reports issues/concerns to management immediately
- May assist with the preparation and assembly of meals, in accordance with the menu and in a safe, sanitary manner under the direction of the Cook or Dining Services Coordinator/Manager as needed
- Follows departmental procedures including sanitation, safety, and cleaning schedules
- Labels and dates all food products in the refrigerator, freezer, and food storage area and properly dispose of refuse
- Sets, clears, and cleans tables
- removes dirty dishes, disposes of refuse and waste materials, and restocking inventory as needed
