Job Description

Charter Senior Living of Orange is a premier assisted living community located in Orange, Connecticut. Our establishment prides itself on creating a homelike environment where seniors can enjoy a quality lifestyle with compassionate care and dedicated support. As part of the larger Charter Senior Living family, we emphasize vibrant living that enhances the physical, emotional, and social well-being of each resident. Our community is designed to foster a sense of belonging, comfort, and security for all who call it home.

At Charter Senior Living of Orange, our mission is to enhance the human spirit. This mission extends beyond our residents to encompass every associate and team member, ensuring a supportive and enriching workplace where individuals are encouraged to grow and thrive. We operate with core values that drive everything we do: serving with heart, purpose, and courage, while having fun and cultivating a positive environment for both residents and staff.

We are currently seeking dependable, friendly Dining Servers to join our team. This role is integral to maintaining the warm and welcoming dining experience that is central to our community’s approach to care. Beginning at a competitive pay rate of $16 per hour, the Dining Server position offers flexible shifts—morning from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and evening from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.—designed to accommodate different schedules while supporting seamless meal service for our residents.

As a Dining Server at Charter Senior Living of Orange, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service in a compassionate and respectful manner. Your primary goal will be to ensure that residents have a positive dining experience that supports their dignity, comfort, and enjoyment. You will serve meals, assist residents with their dietary needs, and monitor activities during meal times to identify and communicate any concerns promptly with the care team. Coordination with the food services department and fellow team members ensures that each meal service runs smoothly and efficiently.

This position is ideal for candidates who have prior dining or food service experience within assisted living environments or healthcare settings, though a friendly attitude, patience, attentiveness, and strong teamwork and communication skills are equally important. At Charter Senior Living of Orange, we prioritize excellent customer service grounded in compassion and respect for every resident.

Our employees benefit from a supportive work environment that feels like family. We offer same-day pay via ZayZoon, a free medical insurance plan option, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits, and a 401(k) plan. Additionally, we provide paid training, paid time off, holiday pay, perfect attendance bonuses up to $100 monthly, referral bonus programs, and flexible scheduling with reliable hours. We are committed to career growth opportunities and recognize the valuable contributions each team member makes. Our team members consistently praise the familial atmosphere and the rewarding nature of serving residents who feel like extended family.

If you are passionate about serving others and eager to join a mission-driven team with values centered on enhancing lives, Charter Senior Living of Orange invites you to apply for our Dining Server position. Join us and make a meaningful difference in the daily lives of seniors while advancing your career in a caring and supportive setting.
