Job Description

Resort Lifestyle Communities (RLC) is a rapidly growing, family-owned company that specializes in providing resort-style senior living communities nationwide, with over 60 communities across the United States. As a leader in the senior living industry, RLC is committed to fostering an environment where seniors can thrive, feel valued, and enjoy a high quality of life. The company is rooted in core values that emphasize respect, honesty, kindness, compassion, and service excellence, making it not just a workplace but a tight-knit servant-hearted community dedicated to the well-being of its residents and employees alike. These values guide every decision and interaction, creating a culture that supports both the staff and the seniors they serve.

At RLC, the focus is on achieving four essential goals that drive the company's ongoing success: ensuring happy employees, delivering exceptional experiences to happy residents, maintaining full occupancy across communities, and operating each community within budget. This holistic approach helps create a harmonious and productive environment where everyone thrives. Employment at RLC offers a purpose-driven role where employees can make a real difference every day while enjoying the benefits of working in a supportive leadership team and a beautiful resort-style setting.

The Dining Room Supervisor role at Resort Lifestyle Communities is a vital position that directly influences the residents' daily experience through quality dining services. This role is more than managing meal periods; it is about creating meaningful connections during mealtime, enhancing the overall community atmosphere. As an active lead server, the Dining Room Supervisor is on the frontline during meal services, ensuring that every dish served is not just food but an experience filled with warmth and personalized care.

As part of the community leadership team, the Dining Room Supervisor takes on responsibilities that include shaping the dining culture, overseeing operational excellence, and contributing to the resident experience beyond the dining room. This role requires collaborative efforts with community managers and executive chefs to hire, train, and develop servers to maintain high standards of service and operational efficiency. Attention to detail in dining room cleanliness, organization, and adherence to RLC’s operational guides is crucial.

Furthermore, the Dining Room Supervisor is expected to personally welcome new residents following the RLC orientation process and ensure swift room service tray retrieval, enhancing individual attention and responsiveness. Participation in leadership meetings supports coordinated event planning and addressing resident needs, aligning with the company’s goals of full occupancy and on-budget operations.

This position requires a flexible schedule with primary hours from Monday to Friday, 11:00 am to 7:30 pm, with additional hours during special events and holidays. Candidates should have foundational skills like basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook, previous leadership experience in service settings, and food safety certifications such as ServSafe Manager certification. RLC offers competitive compensation and benefits, including a unique $341 benefit stipend per pay period that can be applied toward various health and insurance plans, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan with employer match, among others. Joining RLC means becoming part of a mission-driven team devoted to making every day special for seniors, in an environment that values your commitment and servant leadership.
