The role of Dining Room Supervisor at Dial is a full-time position designed for those passionate about hospitality and senior care. This supervisory position involves coordinating the food delivery service within the dining room to ensure a smooth, efficient, and pleasant dining experience for residents. The Dining Room Supervisor will oversee the team of dining room servers, scheduling reservations, organizing special dining events, and handling any resident complaints with outstanding customer service skills. This role is vital in creating a friendly and professional atmosphere where residents feel both comfortable and valued. The supervisor will also coordinate with other departments, including Lifestyle, to maintain seasonal and holiday-themed decorations that enhance the dining environment. Beyond managing the front-of-house operations, the Dining Room Supervisor is involved in routine inspections of dining areas for cleanliness and orderliness, assisting in menu planning for special occasions, and maintaining confidentiality regarding resident and community information.

  • Experience supervising a staff of 15+ employees
  • high school graduate or GED
  • demonstrated experience in food preparation and managing the front of house
  • experience in volume food production within a commercial kitchen
  • knowledge of state food-handling and kitchen regulations
  • ability to operate kitchen appliances and office equipment
  • promote teamwork in providing services to residents

Job Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of dining room personnel to provide fast and courteous service to residents
  • schedule dining reservations and arrange parties or special services for diners
  • greet guests, escort them to tables and provide menus
  • address and solve complaints of residents while providing exceptional customer service
  • oversee dining room server duties while expediting drink and food orders in a timely fashion
  • assign work tasks and coordinate activities of dining room personnel to ensure prompt and courteous service
  • inspect dining room serving stations for neatness and cleanliness
