This community fosters a safe, home-like, and engaging environment both for its residents and staff. Proudly ranked number 1 in The Boston Globe's 2024 List of Top Places to Work and number 35 nationwide by USA Today, Anchor Bay Pocasset stands out as a leading employer in the senior living sector. The company values diversity, equity, and inclusion, regularly engaging all associates in initiatives to create a welcoming workplace for all individuals.
The Dining Room Server role at Anchor Bay Pocasset offers both part-time and full-time opportunities to individuals committed to enhancing the dining experience for senior residents. Part-time shifts include evenings and weekends, with hours from 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM and 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM, while full-time shifts run from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Rates start at $16 per hour, depending on work experience, with a comprehensive benefits package effective from the first day of employment. Benefits include paid time off, holiday pay, health insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield, dental and vision insurance, disability coverage, life insurance, and a pre-tax retirement savings plan with a company match.
The Dining Room Server is key to creating a positive dining atmosphere by greeting residents and guests warmly, taking precise orders from a selective menu, and serving meals efficiently. This role involves setting up tables, clearing and resetting them for subsequent meals, and maintaining a clean and safe dining area that meets the high standards expected by the community. Servers play an important part in creating a relaxed and enjoyable mealtime experience, contributing to the comfort and satisfaction of each resident.
Additionally, employees benefit from extensive professional development and education programs, including the opportunity to become a Certified Dementia Practitioner, underscoring the company’s commitment to career growth. Additional perks include access to a health reimbursement account (HRA), flexible spending accounts (FSA), commuter benefits, retail discounts, and tuition rewards programs.
This position requires strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents and colleagues, punctuality, reliability, and the physical ability to lift trays, dishes, and occasionally move dining furniture. Anchor Bay Pocasset seeks associates who are not only dedicated but also empathetic, fitting the culture of a supportive team that values each member’s contribution to a higher quality of life for all residents. It is an excellent opportunity for candidates passionate about hospitality in a meaningful, community-focused environment.
