Job Requirements
- Have at least a high school diploma/GED preferred
- have a minimum of three months previous experience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant, or club with fine dining preferred
- ability to stand and walk for 100 percent of the workday
- ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs independently
- ability to push and pull bus carts weighing up to 50 lbs independently
- ability to bend, stoop, reach, and balance frequently throughout the workday
- effective communication skills, both oral and written
- ability to work cooperatively with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisors and peers
- empathy for the elderly
- follow all sanitary guidelines and health regulations
- respond promptly and professionally to management requests
- maintain professional conduct and appearance
- get shift coverage if unable to work scheduled shift
- call in two hours before shift in case of emergency
- provide doctors note if shift not covered when sick
- adherence to HIPAA and confidentiality policies
- complete all side duties before shift ends
- conduct self respectfully to management and co-workers
- answer Skylight order phone if ringing
- set up, serve, and break down all scheduled caterings assigned
Job Qualifications

- ability to interpret and explain menu, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understands requests
Job Duties
- Sets tables and maintains workstations in proper order
- takes orders, provides service and requested items both graciously and courteously
- clears dishes from tables during and after meal service
- answers pertinent questions about menu items
- assists with dish washing and distribution of clean dishes, if needed
- assists in maintaining a high level of customer service for residents and their guests
- advises the Restaurant Manager regarding dining room status
- sets up all catering events and cleans up after all catering events
- completes all assigned cleaning tasks
- maintains safe and sanitary conditions in work areas
- attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned
- performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
