The role of Dining Room Server at Aramark is integral to delivering exceptional food service experiences. As a Dining Room Server, you will assist the manager in a variety of food service tasks ranging from meal preparation to maintaining accurate financial and meal records. This position demands a keen attention to detail to ensure food is not only prepared to a high standard according to set menus but also served with precision and care following scheduled meal times and departmental policies. A key aspect of the position includes stringent adherence to food safety rules, sanitation requirements, and kitchen safety protocols to maintain a hygienic environment for staff and patrons alike.

The Dining Room Server is also responsible for using culinary tools safely and effectively, preparing food quickly to meet customer demand, and enhancing meal presentation with garnishments to elevate customer satisfaction. This role extends to upkeep tasks such as cleaning and sanitizing cooking and serving equipment, refrigerators, and freezers, ensuring all storage practices prevent contamination and foodborne illnesses. Job Duties

  • ensure that food is stored in a sanitary manner to prevent bacterial growth and foodborne illnesses
  • serve food to patrons following meal schedules and established departmental policies
  • use and maintain culinary devices specifically blades
  • guarantee the quick preparation of a variety of food items and drinks
  • elevate the presentation of dishes by incorporating garnishments
  • assist in the upkeep of cleanliness for refrigeration units, freezers, and cooking and serving appliances
  • comply with all stipulated food safety rules including sanitation, safe handling, and proper storage
  • maintain conformity with the designated dress code policy
  • coordinate with the manager to understand and prepare the daily menu correctly
  • monitor and manage food temperature to prevent hazards
  • uphold cleanliness standards by arranging work and storage areas systematically
  • sterilize work areas including steam tables, counters, and equipment
  • perform general cleaning such as sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing
  • keep garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas clean and sanitary
  • handle other duties as directed including supporting alternate kitchen areas
