Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- basic math skills
- ability to read and write in English
- experience in food service preferred
- ability to operate basic kitchen equipment
- ability to follow supervisor's instructions
- ability to remember residents' names
- flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and emergencies
- ability to work under pressure and multitask
- self-motivated with strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- excellent verbal communications and interpersonal skills
- patience and ability to speak clearly with elderly

- Experience in food service preferred

Job Duties
- Take menu selections and serve meals to residents and guests
- create an enjoyable atmosphere during mealtime
- set up dining room for meals
- serve residents while considering dietary restrictions
- clean and reset tables per supervisor's instructions
- ensure proper storage of food and supplies
- demonstrate attention to sanitary food handling and equipment safety
- assist residents during buffet events by helping select food and beverages and carrying plates
