The Dining Room Manager role at Abbotswood at Irving Park is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing and ensuring that all dining venues offer exemplary customer service to residents, guests, and associates. This position demands a commitment to promoting a hospitality-focused culture, managing the front of house team effectively, and serving as a vital liaison between guests, residents, and kitchen staff. The manager will record production and operational data as required, create and manage effective work schedules, and plan labor needs according to budget forecasts. The role includes responsibilities such as interviewing, hiring, training, managing, and retaining a highly effective team of associates to maintain high standards of dining service.
This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary ranging from $55,200 to $57,000 per year, depending on experience. The role requires flexibility, including working weekends and holidays as needed, to ensure continuous smooth operation of dining services. Working with POS systems and maintaining necessary certifications such as a current Food Handler's Certificate and ServSafe Manager's Certification is essential. - High school diploma
- Minimum of three years food service experience in a supervisory role
- POS user experience
- Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Current Food Handler's Certificate
- Current ServSafe Manager's Certification or ability to attain within first 90 days
