Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of restaurant management experience preferably in scratch kitchen or full-service restaurant
- proven leadership skills with ability to motivate and develop staff
- strong communication skills
- capable of handling multiple priorities calmly
- availability to work full-time including nights, weekends, and holidays
- passion for hospitality and guest service
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- Experience in restaurant management with 3-5 plus years ideally in a scratch kitchen or full-service environment
- strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences
- excellent organizational skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- effective communication and interpersonal skills
- knowledge or appreciation of German cuisine and beer is a plus
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Lead daily operations overseeing the flow of the dining room from greeting guests to managing service and keeping everything running smoothly
- create memorable guest experiences by bringing Gustav’s traditions to life and ensuring guests feel welcome and eager to return
- develop and inspire the team by coaching, mentoring, and supporting front-of-house staff while fostering a culture of pride, teamwork, and continuous learning
- collaborate with kitchen and bar teams to maintain strong communication that ensures authentic German cuisine and seamless service
- maintain tradition with quality by upholding Gustav’s signature recipes and service style while embracing opportunities to innovate
- support the General Manager with scheduling, training, inventory, and day-to-day operations to ensure efficient restaurant performance
