Currently, Avanti's is looking for passionate and dynamic individuals to join their team in various roles, including cooks, servers, and hosts/hostesses. The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour. The role involves executing responsibilities in the dining room to ensure every guest has a great experience. Candidates will work closely with front-of-house staff to drive sales, promote daily specials, and communicate effectively with the kitchen and carry-out management regarding reservations and catering orders. Handling guest complaints in a professional and timely manner is a core part of the job, as is developing and mentoring staff to become future trainers and managers for other locations. Physically, the job demands an average workweek of 40 or more hours, with the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds. Job Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of restaurant management experience
  • College degree is preferred but not required

  • Extremely friendly, polite and a people person
  • Great communication skills to help staff understand daily expectations
  • Ability to coach and develop diverse staff
  • Ability to handle in the moment coaching events professionally in stressful environments

Job Duties

  • Responsible for the execution of the dining room and creating a great guest experience
  • Engaging with the front of house staff to drive sales and selling the feature of the day
  • Handling any guest complaints from the dining room or carry out areas
  • Handling reservations and catering orders
  • Communicating these events with the kitchen and carry out manager
  • Developing staff into trainers and hopefully one day managers for other locations
  • Among other duties
