Within Live Nation’s Concerts Division, where live tours and artist experiences come to life, the work culture is vibrant, inclusive, and engaging. Employees enjoy perks such as free concert tickets, dog-friendly offices, student loan reimbursement, and support for adoption and fertility, all backed by a commitment to employee growth and community. The division encompasses numerous departments, including owned and operated amphitheaters, global touring teams, ticketing, venue operations, marketing, and sales. As a Great Place to Work certified organization and recognized by People Magazine as one of the “50 Companies that Care,” Live Nation strives for an environment that fosters belonging, enthusiasm, and professional development, with live music as the unifying passion.
The specific role being offered is for a Guest Relations position primarily focused on the House of Blues, a premier venue under the Live Nation umbrella. This role is vital in ensuring excellent guest experiences at the venue’s restaurant and concert spaces. Guest Relations team members are responsible for greeting guests warmly and handling the flow of party arrivals efficiently. Duties include controlling waitlists, managing seating arrangements with accuracy, answering guest inquiries about menu items and show artists, and upholding the highest hospitality standards. The role demands a blend of hospitality expertise, organizational skills, and a deep knowledge of the House of Blues brand, including its art, music, and history.
In addition to guest interactions, the position includes communication coordination with various internal departments such as door hosts, kitchen staff, and Foundation Room managers, ensuring seamless event execution and guest satisfaction. Maintenance of the host area’s cleanliness, safety, and presentation throughout shifts is expected, along with adherence to dress codes and operational procedures. Guest Relations team members may also assist other departments as needed, requiring adaptability, teamwork, and a positive attitude.
Candidates should expect a fast-paced working environment with physical demands such as prolonged standing and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. A high school diploma or its equivalent is required, alongside responsible alcohol awareness certification or equivalent. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with restaurant operations, guest relations, and hosting, preferably with knowledge of POS systems like MICROS. Excellent interpersonal skills, diplomacy, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently are crucial for success.
Live Nation is committed to diversity, inclusion, and providing equal opportunity employment. The company encourages applications from all qualified individuals, regardless of gender, race, age, disability, or other protected categories. Reasonable accommodations for disabilities and religious practices are available to ensure everyone has an equitable chance to succeed. This role embodies the spirit of Live Nation’s mission to enrich the live music experience while offering employees dynamic career growth and meaningful work within a globally influential entertainment company.
