With a world-renowned portfolio of domestic and international properties, Discovery Land Company upholds a mission centered on delivering unparalleled lifestyle experiences by blending luxury living with remarkable recreational amenities and exceptional service. Their properties serve as sanctuaries where community, elegance, and activity harmonize to create unforgettable memories for members and guests.
One notable property under this esteemed portfolio is the Silo Ridge Field Club, situated on 850 scenic acres in New York’s Hudson Valley. This private, gated community, located near Millbrook and Amenia and just two hours from Manhattan, offers members access to a world-class 18-hole Tom Fazio-designed golf course, an equestrian center alongside an activity barn, a state-of-the-art fitness center, numerous wellness and recreational facilities, and the thriving Outdoor Pursuits program that Discovery is widely celebrated for. Comprising 300 residences, the club promises endless opportunities for family recreation and lifestyle enrichment.
The seasonal Host/Hostess role at Silo Ridge Field Club's Food and Beverage Service Department is a vital position that epitomizes the high standards of quality and service upheld by Discovery Land Company. Running from April to November 2026, this role is centered around creating the first and lasting impression for members and guests entering the dining facilities. The Host/Hostess plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations by managing reservations, greeting guests warmly and personally, escorting them to their tables, and supporting the Food and Beverage staff to enhance the overall dining experience.
This position requires a professional with exceptional interpersonal skills, a friendly demeanor, and a keen eye for detail, all crucial in maintaining the distinguished atmosphere and seamless service that members have come to expect. The Host/Hostess acts as a welcoming ambassador of the club, providing attentive and personalized service that reflects the values of Discovery Land Company. This role demands adaptability, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-end hospitality environment. Moreover, the position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $18.00 to $20.00 USD, dependent on experience, alongside comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
Joining the Discovery family means entering a work culture that prioritizes work-family balance, professional development, and opportunities for upward mobility.
