Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcohol
  • Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification required
  • Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) certification preferred
  • CSS Badge preferred
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures including freezers and kitchens
  • Ability to stand and move well-paced for up to four hours
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
  • Ability to push and pull carts and equipment up to 250 lbs
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing
  • Hearing, smelling, tasting, and visual acuity to observe product quality and emergency signs
  • Talking and hearing continuously for communication
  • Near and color vision and depth perception
  • Ability to use fine motor skills with fingers and hands
  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Compliance with Azul Hospitality rules and grooming standards

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of food service experience
  • 1-2 years management or supervisor experience
  • Experience with Micros POS system
  • Background in culinary, sales, and service
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary workplace language
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent leadership and customer relations skills
  • Detail oriented with organizational and communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic computational ability
  • Ability to handle internal and external customer interactions with patience and diplomacy
  • Knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS systems
  • Self-driven and able to work independently
  • Knowledge of table and bar service
  • Knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, and flavor profiles
  • Thorough knowledge of food products, standard recipes, and proper preparation
  • Ability to distinguish product quality, taste, texture, and presentation
  • Ability to conduct meetings and menu briefings
  • Maintain effective communication between staff and managers

Job Duties

  • Extend a warm and gracious greeting to every guest in a sophisticated and amiable manner
  • Exhibit a high level of proficiency in showcasing knowledge about all food and beverage menu items including ingredients and preparation
  • Deliver an exceptional level of professionalism and refinement in attending to guest needs while maintaining customer service excellence
  • Lead the team in adhering to and executing refined steps of service with efficiency and grace
  • Seek continuous learning and professional growth opportunities
  • Clear, clean, and reset tables as needed
  • Verify customers' identification to confirm legal drinking age
  • Ensure that minors and intoxicated persons are not served alcohol
  • Perform opening, closing, and side work duties according to station rotation
  • Maintain cleanliness of restaurant areas including disposing waste and cleaning service areas
  • Participate in deep cleaning of the outlet
  • Operate cash register/POS, handle payments accurately and follow cash handling procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned by managers or supervisors
