The General Utility Worker role at Aramark is an entry-level position ideal for self-motivated individuals who take pride in maintaining a clean and safe environment. This position is critical to the operational success of food service and facility management because it ensures cleanliness of dishes, equipment, and work environments. General Utility Workers are responsible for tasks like washing and sanitizing dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, kitchen utensils, and maintaining the dishwashing station alongside three compartment sinks and related areas. The role demands a strong commitment to customer service, a positive attitude towards guests and co-workers, and strict adherence to Aramark's safety policies and procedures including food safety and sanitation standards. Equipment cleanliness and operational readiness are also part of the responsibilities, with workers required to report any issues to management promptly. Light maintenance and custodial duties contribute to maintaining a safe and orderly workplace, further supporting Aramark's mission to deliver top-notch services.

This position may require physical activity such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing throughout the shift. Job Requirements

  • Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing

Job Duties

  • Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils are cleaned and sanitized
  • Maintains dishwashing station, three compartment sink and related areas cleaned
  • Ensures equipment is clean and in working condition
  • reports any issues to management
  • Performs other light maintenance and custodial tasks
  • Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
  • Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
  • Ensures security of company assets
