Job Description
The Bluebird is a renowned establishment located in Baltimore, distinguished for its elevated cocktail experiences. This vibrant venue uniquely blends inventive beverages with a scratch bar approach, emphasizing the use of local ingredients and delivering exceptional hospitality to its guests. Situated alongside The Green Room, a versatile event space known for hosting a variety of live entertainment and special occasions, The Bluebird represents a hub for cocktail enthusiasts who appreciate a dynamic and engaging social environment. The Bluebird's commitment to quality and creativity in its offerings has positioned it as a key destination for those seeking a sophisticated and memorable night out in Baltimore.
Currently, The Bluebird is looking to hire a part-time Dining Room Assistant/Barback to join their dedicated team. This dual role combines the responsibilities of a busser and a barback, providing vital support to both the dining and bar teams to ensure a smooth, efficient, and high-quality guest service experience. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are either beginning their careers in the hospitality industry or those who wish to deepen their understanding of front-of-house and bar operations. The role involves assisting servers by maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of the dining area, supporting bartenders with stock and glassware management, and ensuring that the entire service environment is organized and efficient throughout shifts.
The Dining Room Assistant/Barback position not only demands a strong work ethic and attention to detail but also encourages a collaborative and enthusiastic attitude focused on creating outstanding guest experiences. The role requires maintaining composure and organization in a fast-paced setting and the physical ability to lift items up to 40 pounds and remain on one’s feet for the duration of the shift. This position is especially geared for those who can commit to Friday and Saturday night shifts when the venue experiences its highest traffic, providing ample opportunities to learn and grow within a professional and supportive team environment.
In addition to fostering professional growth within a cocktail-focused setting, this part-time role pays between $15.00 and $20.00 per hour. Working at The Bluebird means becoming part of a team-driven culture that values hospitality, growth, and the development of skills in both restaurant and event service settings. Prospective team members will benefit from working in a supportive atmosphere that promotes learning and advancement opportunities within the organization.
The Bluebird emphasizes professional development and offers paid training, flexible scheduling to accommodate the needs of its team members, and an employee discount. These benefits enhance the working experience and reflect the establishment's commitment to a positive and rewarding workplace. If you are passionate about hospitality, eager to expand your skills, and enjoy contributing positively to a lively and welcoming service environment, joining The Bluebird as a Dining Room Assistant/Barback could be the perfect next step in your hospitality career.
