The Dining Manager I role at Wesley Enhanced Living is a vital leadership position responsible for enhancing the dining experience of the community's residents and their guests in the Health Care (HC) setting. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining high standards of service, quality, and safety in dining operations. The Dining Manager ensures that all food service activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations as well as WEL's internal policies and procedures.

This role involves supervising and supporting dining services staff, including servers, hosts, and bistro personnel, promoting a professional and pleasant dining atmosphere. The Dining Manager is responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and retaining qualified team members to meet the community’s culinary service needs. Additionally, the role includes managing dining supplies, budgeting procurement activities, and routinely auditing meal service quality, sanitation, safety, and resident satisfaction. Effective communication and a strong ability to lead diverse teams are essential qualities for success in this position. The Dining Manager must uphold the highest standards of excellence and innovation in the delivery of dining services to enrich the lives of senior residents, making each meal a positive and memorable experience. Job Requirements

  • 2-4 years of previous experience in food services
  • ability to speak, read, write, understand and follow verbal and written instructions in the English language

Job Duties

  • maintains effective and efficient dining services
  • positive resident and visitor relations
  • ensures products and staff services are consistent with quality and excellence standards
  • assists general manager with interviews, hires, training, supervision, and retention of qualified dining servers, hosts and bistro staff
  • serve residents promptly in an orderly and well-mannered way, following accepted standard meal service routines
  • purchases dining services supplies within assigned budgets and through company approved distribution sources and vendors
  • ensures adherence to quality assurance processes by routinely auditing meal service, dining, safety, sanitation, and meal satisfaction
  • completes other tasks as required
