Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of two years of restaurant experience preferred
  • availability to work nights and weekends
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • knowledge of Point-of-Sale systems preferred
  • ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Greet incoming and departing guests warmly
  • escort guests to assigned dining areas
  • present menus and announce waiter’s name
  • use OpenTable to seat guests in the bar or dining areas
  • answer incoming restaurant calls and manage to-go orders
  • provide accurate wait times to guests
  • attend to special guest needs and requests
  • observe guests’ needs throughout their dining experience and inform server or runner team
  • assist in monitoring tables for upcoming reservations and help set tables
  • adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol control policies
  • manage coat checks at the host stand
  • restock host stand and closet with supplies
  • maintain professional posture and never turn back to guests
