Job Requirements

  • Associates degree preferred
  • Food safety manager certification required
  • Minimum 3 years experience in food service management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • Ability to work day to evening shifts with occasional weekends
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Commitment to maintaining safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Associates degree in culinary arts, business administration, or related field preferred
  • Food Safety Manager Certification (e.g., ServSafe) required
  • Minimum 3 years progressive experience in food service management
  • Competency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and ability to learn internal software
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain high standards

Job Duties

  • Lead, develop, and be accountable for all kitchen actions and people
  • Hire and train staff embodying Pepi culture
  • Ensure safety and well-being of team members
  • Maintain a clean, labeled, and organized kitchen environment
  • Ensure consistency in food quality and adherence to menu plans
  • Manage resource purchasing, inventory control, and portion sizes
  • Oversee food service operational metrics and compliance
  • Plan menus and develop digital communications for dining centers
  • Conduct regular customer visits and implement improvement plans
  • Enforce compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations
