Edenbrook Green Bay, as part of the Eden Senior Care Network, is a skilled nursing facility known for its commitment to excellence and compassionate care. Currently, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-time Dietary Supervisor to join our team. This role requires a professional who will oversee and manage the dietary services department, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations while maintaining exceptional standards of food service and safety. The position operates on a schedule from 11 am to 7 pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends and holidays, reflecting the dynamic needs of the skilled nursing facility.
The Dietary Supervisor will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing food service policies and procedures, promoting interdisciplinary communication, and ensuring that the dietary services align with the Resident Bill of Rights. This role involves substantial responsibility, including maintaining sanitation and safety standards, managing staffing patterns and job descriptions, overseeing tray service and resident meal service, and participating in continuous quality improvement processes. The supervisor will also be entrusted with financial accountability for dietary services, managing procurement of food supplies and equipment, and collaborating on short- and long-term planning initiatives related to facility layout and capital improvements.
In addition to administrative duties, the dietary supervisor will actively engage in staff training and orientation to new developments in the department, support diet changes and special meal requests, and coordinate communication across shifts and departments. The role demands strong leadership skills, a customer-service orientation, and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- serv safe certification
- minimum of 2 years dietary supervisory experience preferred
- prior cooking experience
- experience in long-term care preferred
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- ability to work occasional weekends and holidays
- commitment to quality resident care and teamwork
- ability to maintain compliance with federal and state dietary regulations

Job Duties
- participate in the development of food service policy and procedure development and promote interdisciplinary communication
- interpret the department's policies and procedures to employees, residents, visitors, government agencies, etc., as necessary
- understand and support the Resident Bill of Rights reflected in all aspects of performance, concern and caring for residents
- participate, support, monitor the CQI (QA) process
- maintain sanitation and safety standards, within the federal and state regulations of location
- responsible for developing and evaluating job descriptions and staffing patterns
- establish and evaluate tray service and other departmental services to the facility
- implement and evaluate systems for receiving, storing and allocating food and non-food materials for dietary services
- assume financial accountability for dietary services
- coordinate goals and objectives for the dietary department
- procure food supplies and equipment for the dietary department
- participate in short and long range planning of the physical plan, layout, design and capital improvements
- conduct self in a professional manner, supervising and evaluating job performance of all dietary staff
- attend facility and departmental meetings, as required
- monitor tray service, resident meal service and feeding guidelines, per federal and state regulations
- train and orient staff to new developments and or changes within department
- assist in monitoring and setting up of department systems and process
- assist in ensuring diet changes, meal extras
- snacks, etc. are processed on a daily basis
- perform the inventory and ordering process for department
- assist in providing in-services for all staff regarding dietary issues
- assist Dietician in planning and implementing menu cycles, resident choice meals and any other food events that occur with the residents, meetings, activities, etc.
- coordinate communication between the shifts and other departments
- perform related duties as assigned
