Job Duties

  • Maintains rotating menu and orders supplies within established budgets
  • Ensures proper storage, labeling, and dating of food per guidelines
  • Monitors HACCP programs, checks food temperatures, and maintains sanitation and food safety practices
  • Prepares meals according to the menu cycle, emphasizing attractiveness and taste
  • Interacts with patients and staff, modeling customer service
  • Assists in cleaning, ensures staff follows cleaning schedules, and maintains equipment
  • Makes dietary staff schedules, ensuring snacks align with resident preferences and physician orders
  • Practices safety, infection control, and emergency procedures
  • Coaches and trains dietary staff
