Job Description
Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is a leading provider of facility support services, specializing in serving healthcare facilities such as long-term care homes, hospitals, and senior living communities. With a strong commitment to enhancing the patient and resident experience through high-quality dining services, HCSG delivers customized foodservice solutions designed to meet the nutritional and personal needs of residents. Founded on values of excellence, integrity, and community engagement, HCSG has grown to become a trusted partner to healthcare providers across the United States. The company values diversity, inclusion, and promotes a supportive and respectful work environment for all employees. They are dedicated to fostering career growth and providing comprehensive benefits to their staff, emphasizing hands-on training, wellness support, and career development opportunities.
The role of Cook at Healthcare Services Group is vital in preparing and cooking nutritious meals for residents within long-term care facilities. The Cook is responsible for adhering to planned menus and recipes to consistently deliver high-quality meals that meet HCSG standards for food quality, taste, and presentation. This position plays an important part in ensuring residents receive meals that not only meet nutritional guidelines but also provide comfort and satisfaction through expert preparation and thoughtful presentation. The role requires adherence to strict food safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a clean and orderly kitchen environment. In addition, the Cook will participate in inventory management and ordering of supplies, ensuring the kitchen is well-stocked and operations run smoothly.
In this position, excellent communication skills and a positive attitude are essential as the Cook interacts regularly with residents, staff, and guests, promoting a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The ability to follow dietary restrictions and specific recipes is crucial since many residents may have unique nutritional needs. Physical demands require this position to stand, walk, lift, carry, and perform routine repetitive tasks independently while working efficiently within the kitchen setting.
HCSG encourages individuals who are passionate about food service and making a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable populations to join their team. The Cook position offers an opportunity to advance within a company that values employee development and work-life balance, alongside competitive benefits such as free telemedicine, prescription discount programs, and financial wellness support. HCSG fosters a culture that respects diverse perspectives and promotes equal opportunity for all employees regardless of background. Candidates ready to positively impact resident experiences by creating delicious and nutritious meals in a supportive team environment are encouraged to apply and become part of HCSG’s mission to improve communities through exceptional foodservice.
