Job Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of cooking experience
  • Serv-Safe certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Knowledge of special dietary needs and required meal preparation techniques
  • Willingness to learn new food preparation techniques and presentation
  • Ability to work effectively with a team and display team behaviors
  • Ability to handle conflict or customer complaints professionally
  • Ability to focus on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Must follow all food safety and equipment safety procedures
  • Must be dependable, punctual, self-motivated, and able to work without constant supervision

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of cooking experience, including short order and quantity cooking
  • Possess or willing to obtain Serv-Safe certification
  • Knowledge of special dietary needs and meal preparation techniques
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Demonstrate ability to work effectively within a team
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated with ability to work independently

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve food items for breakfast, lunch, or dinner as assigned
  • Ensure efficient, timely, and friendly service to all residents and staff
  • Maintain proper sanitation and safety procedures and high-quality food preparation and presentation
  • Order, receive, and rotate stock in conjunction with the Food Service Director
  • Read and follow recipes to ensure consistency of the product
  • Assist with meeting or exceeding resident dining expectations
  • Comply with all food safety and equipment safety procedures
